Ordering your keepsake

How to order a memory bear made from baby clothes. The parcel is ready to send to Patchwork Perfect. The clothes are being turned into a memory bear. The finished bear has been made from baby clothes.

 

Step 1 - Choose your fabrics

Deciding which clothes to use for your keepsake is very exciting. Choose your most favourite pieces or the items that remind you the most of your loved one. Maybe it's the outfit that your baby came home from the hospital in? Or maybe its the jumper that your Grandma always used to wear? Whatever you choose, we will make sure as much detail is included as possible in your keepsake, from the tiny labels to the shiny buttons.

If you have any special requests or notes to send with your clothes, you can put these in the comments section at checkout, put them on paper inside your parcel or just use the contact form to get in touch.

Just remember not to cut the fabric out yourself and that fabric with a little bit of stretch works best - if you have lightweight/see through, denim, leather or knitted fabric please get in touch first and we can have a quick check to see if your fabric can be used. It's always better to check first! 

Step 2 - Post your clothes to us

Once you have chosen your fabrics all you need to do is package them up, a box or a sealed bag is fine. You can send them to us using the details provided at checkout. Please make sure they are clean and dry before wrapping them up and remember to put your name and address on there so that we know they're from you...

If you're wondering how much it will cost to post to us: even a heavy 5kg, Medium sized parcel sent with Royal Mail is currently around £6 (and trust us - you would have to be sending a lot of clothes for it to be that heavy!). So you can expect your parcel to be around that price, and most likely less.

You have 12 months to send your parcel to us once you've checked out so you have plenty of time to get to the post office.

Step 3 - Your keepsake will be lovingly made

Once your clothes reach us you will receive a confirmation email and we will get to work. Your keepsake will be made with care and attention and if we need any further information from you we will be sure to get in touch straight away. You can check the Facebook page for regular updates or subscribe to emails using the link at the bottom of our home page. Or, if you want to message us to ask how it's going... feel free! Turnaround times can vary due to peak times so whilst we say up to 8 weeks at the busiest of times, the wait time is usually a lot shorter than this. Your keepsake will be sent back to you via tracked delivery so we always know where your treasured items are at every stage.
